But to ensure everything stays locked in, we use a swage sleeve to secure the short tails (per ASME and industry standards). This final step compresses the sleeve, preventing movement and giving the sling a termination efficiency of 94%–96%, depending on the wire rope diameter. This swager can do up to 4-1/2 inch
