German researchers have produced polyurethanes without using isocyanates, which can trigger allergies or asthma.
Dr. Alexander Hofmann, Head of Thermochemical Conversion Technologies at Fraunhofer UMSICHT, added that the project will allow researchers to refine and optimize the pyrolysis process at larger scale.
