The Stone Monkey is the first part of the game's final battle. The entrance to this battle can be found in the Birthstone, located in the Water Curtain Cave, during Chapter 6.

Beyond the clearing where you fought the Son of Stones, you'll find a giant rock with golden trees on either side. Go left here. You'll see a waterfall in the distance and an archway just before it.
